Digital Two for Tuesday 113

It has been a crazy busy week and I haven't had anytime to scan images.  So I only have one new image from the paint book I've been posting from and one image from my archives.

Sweet Digital Stamps

All of these Paint Book images are so sweet.  The children are so cute and the scenes are timeless.  If you have made anything with series of digital stamps I would love to see them.  Please attach them to this post in the comments section.

We've Got Power

Finally the power is back on.  We stayed at my mother in laws a few nights as the house was about 42 degrees F.  Unfortunately that was a two hour commute to work.  But it was toasty warm.  Most of my friends still do not have power.  Unbelievable!  In honor of the snow I am posting two images from the Little Folks Paint Book.  There is no copyright but I think it is from the late 30's.  These pages are on pulp paper and no matter how clear I get them in editing they seem to show up with spots when I post them.

No Power Again

Sorry I have no images to post today. We have had no power/water since Saturday due to a freak late October snowstorm. We got 16 inches of heavy snow. Unfortunately the trees had leaves on them still so most of them are damaged. Our lilac and forsythia bushes are decimated. The willow trees have lost their tops.
I will post when we get our Internet and power back.

2 More From the Juggler Magazine

Both of these images are from the commencement issue of the Juggler magazine of Notre Dame from May 1929.  This magazine is quite mode for the time or so they thought.  In one of the issues there is even an article on watching out for townie girls who are trying to trap you into marriage.

Digital Two for Tuesday 109

This posting I have include a few more images from the Woman's Institute Home Sewing Tips book from the 20's.  The woman seems so deep in thought.  I could see this image combined with a religious saying or a saying about patience. Don't forget there are more images from this booklet over at Clearly Vintage.

Woman's Institute Images

Both of these images come from a Woman's Institute sewing guide from the 20's.  Be sure to check out Clearly Vintage for some more of these fun images.

One Image of A Woman

This came from the May 1929 Juggler magazine.  I think it could be interesting as a bookplate or the cover of a book.

Digital Two for Tuesday 103

Sorry, I did not have time to make these into digitized images.  I do think they will make great backgrounds.  I just got back from vacation in the Bahamas.  The hurricane Irene hit while we were there and then it took us 2 days to get home because the hurricane had moved to the northeast USA.  It was quite an adventure.
