Torture Instruments

Corsets from the Ladies Home Journal 1892.  I think I would die if I had to wear one of these corsets.  Thank goodness the worst we have is underwire bras.  My mom tells a hilarious story about going to a luncheon when she was a teacher in Harlem.  By the end of the meal all the woman where in the bathroom undoing their girdles.  Remember if you use one of the images on your blog to post a link here in the comments section and a link on your blog.

I have been so busy lately and haven't been posting as much.  I just scanned two vintage Ladies Home Journals from 1892 with loads of images.  They are filled with wonderful images for you to use in your artwork.  Be sure to share your creations in the comment section.

US Open - Tennis 19th Century Style

This post is in honor of the US Open.  I love these styles from Ladies Home Journal 1892.  I do think it would be really hard to play in a long skirt and a tight cinched waist.  What do you think?  I am selling this magazine and others online to clear out space so I can buy more.  See the post below for more info.

Vintage Items on eBay

It is time to de clutter.  My collection of vintage magazines and craft items has gotten out of hand.  So I am selling them on Ebay.  Here is link to my page.

Digital Two for Tuesday 232

Both of these images are from a May 1930 Needlecraft Magazine.
