Two for Tuesday 7

We are seven weeks into the challenge and the site already has almost 2000 hits. Thanks everyone and I hope you are enjoying the digital stamps. Here are the two images for this week. Two lovely bathing beauties. Just a note that I have two more for next week if you are thinking of a large project. I hope that you will all take the challenge and create something amazing.

This week's guest host is one of my favorite paper artist Dana. Please stop by here blog for a wonderful adventure into Paper Arts. Here is her bio.

"My name is Dana Gustafson and I have been a paper crafter all of my life. I like crafts of all kinds but paper is definitely my medium of choice. I live in Northern California with my husband and two young daughters. When I am not caring for our girls or making our house a home, I can be found sneaking in some creative time in my craft room! You'll find what I am making these days on the blog I started in January 2009 called Paper Daydream. http://www.paperdaydream.blogspot.com/ I love this thing called blogging! I have "met" so many lovely and giving people here and just can't get enough challenges, blog hopping and more! I currently am honored to be a part of the My Time to Create Challenge Design Team, the Kelleigh Ratzlaff Creative Team, and the Hybrid Chick Creative Team! I have been following Cora's creative endeavors at Clearly Vintage for months now and when Cora asked if I would be a Guest Designer for Digital Two for Tuesday, I jumped at the chance! Thank you Cora!"

Here is the card Dana created using this weeks images. I love all the sewing and little accents.

Adhere ribbons with fabric tac to a seperate piece of cardstock and then stitch with sewing machine. Stamp the sentiment using Baroque Burgandy on a scrap of cream cardstock, ink edges and stitch on. Two For Tuesday 6

Today I have two more fun digital images. They are old motorcycle images from the 20's. I love what today's guest designer Sarah Hemphill has done with them. I hope you are inspired and take the challenge.

My name is Sarah and I live in Texas. I have been married to the same fellow for almost 40 years. We have 2 children and 7 grandchildren. I have been stamping for 3 years and love paper, inks, and experimenting with different techniques. Even though I am not versed in the digital world, actually don't have much of a clue about it, I do enjoy using Cora's wonderful digital stamps. Thanks, Cora, for having me as this week's guest hostess!

Digital Two For Tuesday 5

Well here we go another week of Digital Two For Tuesday. Thank you to all who have participated so far. I hope this week more people will take the challenge and create something amazing with these two images. All the rules for the challenges are in the side bar. If you do not plan to participate but are enjoying the images please let me know. I love encouragement. This week's guest hostess is Annabelle. She is a Mississippi girl currently living in Illinois with my wonderful husband & 4 kitties (Elvis, Rufus, Louis & Harry). She has been doing some sort of craft project ever since she can remember. In her words "I think I've probably tried almost everything! But paper has always been my first love. When I was little, nothing was more exciting than a new pad of paper & a pen, pencils or crayons. Playing with digital images in PaintShop is also something I love to do. Combining digital images & paper is just so wonderful...there's no limit to what can be created! Add my beloved Cricut & SCAL software to the mix and I am in heaven! Now if only I had more time to spend in my studio! (Oh, and PhotoShop...I'd love to have PhotoShop.)"

Annabelle's directions: Using PaintShop Pro, the white was removed from the digital stamps and then resized. Those images were pasted into the "R.A. Geoffroy" image. The image was then printed and colored with watercolor pencils...then distressed by tearing, folding & chalking it with medium brown. The letters & photo corners were painted with white acrylic paint, sanded & chalked. The papers were adhered to the notebook & then the edges were sanded. The image, letters & photo corners were adhered on top.

Material List:

Printed papers: K&Company
Digital stamps: Cora Harkin's Collection
Digital image: Cora Harkin's Collection
Composition book
Chipboard letters
Wooden photo corners
White acrylic paint
Medium brown chalk
Watercolor pencils
Sobo Craft Glue

You can see more of Annabelle's work on her blog Simple Pleasures.

Digital Two For Tuesday 3

So it is the third challenge for Two for Tuesday. Last week all the projects were wonderful. Thank you so much everyone for participating. This week we have two more images from Harper's Bazar. I think the images from the last few weeks would be a lovely stationary set. Now to find the time to make one.

Today is our first guest designer. She is someone who has been very supportive of this digital concept, Tink. Here are two cards she made with this week's images. I love her amazing use of color. Here is her bio:

I have been scrap booking and stamping also Altering anything that can't run away , for over 10 years. I am Thrilled to be a guest designer for Two for Tuesday."

You can see more of her artwork at her beautiful blog Tink Time. Thank you Tink for all the inspiration. Now it is your turn to create. I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week.

By the Stream

I've been so inspired by all of you that I stayed up late last night and played. Here is a card using the image from my first post. I colored it with Copic markers. The background embossing was done with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Digital Two For Tuesday 2

So here are the two projects I made with the digital stamps from this week. The large motif stamp I printed on a special rice paper and used as a background paper on my box. I made this card box to place stationary that I am making for a present. See my blog Clearly Vintage for more details and photos. The second piece is a little necklace I made for my daughter. I hope you all have a chance to play this week. If you do participate please post a comment in the comments section with a link to your artwork. Also please feel free to share the news about Two For Tuesday with all. I can't wait to see what you all create and I hope you enjoy these great vintage digital stamps.

Can't Wait Until Tuesday

I finally got some time today to create. I am busy working on the next project for Digital Two For Tuesday that includes two new amazing digital images. I have been so inspired by last week's entries that I can't wait to share my new project with you. I am not quite done yet because it is raining here and everything is taking so long to dry. OK, I am going to be patient and wait until Tuesday to post my project. If I post early that would ruin the whole Tuesday thing.

Remember because these are digital images you can print them on transfer paper or directly on fabric. You can re size them or use them over and over to create a pattern. You can change the color just like stamp ink using your computer and printer. If you want you can use only a portion of the image and make your own stamp. Eventually, when your collection of digital stamps is big enough, you could combine images to make a collage digital stamp. ( Which I hope you share.) The idea of this site is to learn from each other and to inspire each other to be creative. Well,I guess you can tell I am excited about this venture.

I wanted to thank all those who have participated so far and especially those of you who have volunteered to be hostesses. You all are so talented and I feel lucky to share in your creativity. I am booked up through Aug 4th for hostesses. If anyone else is interested in being a host or hostess please email me or leave a comment here.

Feel free to tell all your friends and neighbors about the site. The more people we get to participate the more fun it will be for all. I will work on a link for Digital Two For Tuesday with a photo for you to post on your sites. Believe it or not I am not very computer savvy. If any of you know how to easily do this. Please let me know.

Lastly, I can't wait to see what you create so remember to post a link to your creation in the comments section for each challenge.
