2 More From the Juggler Magazine
Both of these images are from the commencement issue of the Juggler magazine of Notre Dame from May 1929. This magazine is quite mode for the time or so they thought. In one of the issues there is even an article on watching out for townie girls who are trying to trap you into marriage.

Digital Two for Tuesday 94
I have brought out a book from a few months ago and scanned a few more illustrations. I am loving this book Yourself and Your House Wonderful from 1913. The drawings are so cute. I love the swimming by the sea picture. It must have been hot in those bathing suits.

Holiday Trio 2
A few more images for Thanksgiving. The top two are from a vintage collection of images for furniture stores to use in advertising. They are from the early 1920's. Many of the holiday images I will be posting for Christmas and Thanksgiving are from this collection.

I Wish I Was At The Beach
Oh, I wish I was at the beach enjoying all kinds of unhealthy foods like french fries and popcorn and walking on the boardwalk. It is definitely the dog days of summer her in the USA. It has been a hot one. I wish I had a little down time from work to enjoy the beach for a week but instead I will have to live vicariously through these lovely vintage beach images from the book In Storyland. Enjoy.Saturday, July 17, 2010
