Here is a tease for those of you who can wait to see the images.

Digital Two for Tuesday 49

The two images for this week's challenge are from a John Martin's children's book from the 1920's. I love these two little girls.   We are lucky to have a guest designer from the Netherlands this week.  Her work is so beautiful and each card she makes has so much detail.  Lenet's choice of papers and color add to the vintage feel of her projects.  Here is her bio in her own words.  "My Name is Lenet Mos. I live with my husband, two kids, and two ginger tomcats in the Netherlands. I’m a stay at home mom and have been scrapbooking for about 4 years now. I started making cards in July 2009. At the moment I’m totally into card making. I think you can say I’m a bit addicted to it. Every spare moment I have, I spend on being creative, I love being creative there is so much more I want to do,but there are not enough hours in a day.
I’m very exited and honored to be chosen to be the guest designer for this week. I hope you like the card I made with the image."  You can see more of Lenet's work on her extremely creative blog To Scrap or Not To Scrap.

Digital Two for Tuesday 48

Wow, almost a year of posts.  It is hard to believe.  It is so much fun to see what the host each week creates with the digital images.  I have learned so much from all of you.  You would never know that I use to be a die hard rubber stamper and would never consider digi stamps as a form of artwork. I think our guest hosts each week prove that statement incorrect and this weeks hostess is no exception.  She has created two beautiful projects using these great old images from the Jordan Marsh catalogue from 1885.  I just love her coloring of these detailed images.  Margie has not been feeling well lately so here is sending her a big get well soon.

Here is Margie's bio in her own words.   "My name is Margie Overman. I live in CuraƧao, Netherlands Antilles.  I love being creative and create work of Art. I use different Art Mediums from Distress Inks to Crayola Twistables to create my work of Art.

I also teach Paper Crafts. I´m an endorsed Paper Craft teacher from Urban Swank teaching Paper Crafts and Home Decorative projects with the gorgeous Urban Lily´s products.

How I created the projects.
Project 1:
I started with coloring the girls in the Image with Crayola Twistables. I glued the image to a white big card stock and after that I used Glimmer Mist Spray and sprayed the image with the nice sparkling paint. It gives a nice shine to the Image.

Project 2:
I colored the girls with Crayola Markers and also Distress Inks from Ranger with the Ranger paint nibs.  After I glued the image to the card size 5x5 Inches, I punched 2 holes in the card and placed a bow on the card.  As the finishing touch I adhered 2 3D Heart Stickers to the card."
You can see more of Margie's work on her blog. Margie's Creative Projects  I hope you take the challenge this week.  Please link your project in the comments section of this post so we can all be inspired.

Digital Two for Tuesday 47

The images this week are from a special find from the flea market.  They are from a Jordan Marsh & Co catalogue from 1885.  Our guest designer this week is Dee Morris.  She has created two beautiful projects for us to enjoy.  Dee's artwork has a lovely sense of balance and all the extra touches add to the vintage feel.  You can see more of Dee's amazing artwork at her blog http://sprytebyrd.blogspot.com/ .

Nurses Day Project

So today is National Nurses' Day here in the USA.  The nurse at my daughter's school is so wonderful.  My daughter is one of those children who needs a band aid for every boo boo and paper cut.  So she is there often and the nurse is always so kind to her.  Besides that she is a stamper so she is a kindred spirit who likes my kind of gifts.  This is the project I made for her and filled it with two sets of stamps from the Clearly Vintage photo polymer stamp line.  On the cover of the folder I used a nurse stamp from here at Digital Two for Tuesday.  The papers are K & Co and Marcella K.  The button is antique and the ribbon is from Michael's.  The stamped sentiment on the outside of the folder is Hero Arts and the printed sentiment inside was done on my computer.  I have re posted the nurse image below so you can make something special for the nurse in your life.

Digital Two for Tuesday 46

This week's guest hostess is Jeanette.  Jeanette has been a supportor of Digital Two for Tuesday for quite some time.  Here work is always beautiful.  She has the talent of taking and image and making it blend with the page. In the project she has created for us the image looks so wonderful on the background and the accents merge the work into one piece of art.  The muted colors complete the vintage feel of the piece.  Here is Jeanette's bio in her own words. "My name is Jeanette Waters and I've been papercrafting for about 15 years now. Some I do with stamps and some are done digitally. I love them both. I've also become very active online in administering a papercrafting forum and two challenge blogs. I just love to do challenges and Digital Two for Tuesday is a favorite. I always enjoy the images. I had such a good time creating a card for this image. Being it was a sailing ship I decided to make my piece with an antique feel. I colored with Derwent colored pencils and distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. There is also just a touch of silver gel pen here and there. I hope you enjoy using these images as much as I did.
My Blog and links to my Forum and Challenges are here H20 Creations ".

Looking for Guest Designers

Well it is that time again to search high and low for guest designers for Digital Two for Tuesday.
1. If you do not mind creating projects that are out of your comfort zone than please send me an email that you would like to be a guest designer.  Approximately a week before you will be the host or hostess I will send to you two vintage B&W images to use as stamps in one or more projects.  It is your choice what you make and you may add other images or stamps.  The idea is to inspire other to take the challenge.  The week of your guest hosting please post your project on your blog and on any sites you participate to encourage others to play.

All are welcome to apply.

2. I am also looking for a small group designers to all work with some images to create a blank recipe book or card box. It will be a super challenge and may take a few weeks to complete.  I was hoping to have this challenge ready before Mother's Day but I have been crazy busy at work.  This will be due June 6 for posting on June 8.  I have about a dozen black & white images from a recipe book from 1915 that I thought might be fun to use to make a blank book to give some one to put recipes inside. The images are small 1.5" x 3" approximately. I was thinking you could use the different images for the different sections like meat, fish, poultry, breads, and so on. I am looking for several designers to each make a different project that we would post on the Digital Two for Tuesday blog using the images. The project could be any type of recipe holder such as recipe card box or a book. When we post the projects each designer can post a family recipe on their blog to get everyone started.

So please email me if you are interested in either designer spot with a link to your site or blog so I can see your work at coraharkins@sbcglobal.net. Please let me know whether your are interested in the guest hosting spot or the receipe project. If it is the guest spot these are the weeks available June 29 , July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10 and 17(edited on May 3 to show remaining dates). Please list 2 dates you will be available in case one has already been taken.
Thank you.  I wouldn't be able to keep the site going without all of your help.
