Bad News Today

 My parent's engagement photo.  I made this collage for their 55th.

 These are two collages I made for his birthday one year.
I thank you all for your prayers for my dad but he passed yesterday morning.  He and my mom had been together for 59 years.  We are all doing ok.  I guess I am still in shock as it is hard to believe that he is gone.  My dad was one of those incredible people who knew a little bit about every subject.  He was always learning new things and had an incredible love of books.  My dad Iz Ungar was a polymer chemist and even after he retired he worked until he was 79 travelling worldwide consulting.  He had over 50 US Patents to his name and 100 international patents.

    I am so sorry to hear about your father. My Dad is 86 in April and Mom is 84. They were married 65 years in Jan. Thanks for you blog and all you do for your blogger. With Deepest Sympathy...........

    Sweetie, my dear old Dad was 84 when he suddenly passed, last summer.....I'm 59 years old, but I felt like a 9 year old. You'll never stop missing him....we always remain our Daddys' little girls....but the warmth of your memories of him will comfort you, I promise. x

    I am sorry for your loss. Know that there is a large group of people who care about you and your family. As painful as this is, try to capture this time so later you may reflect on how fortunate you were to have your dad in your life.

    I lost my Dad 11 years ago and still cherish every moment we had together. I hope that you too can focus on the happy memories and let them replace the pain that you may feel right now.
